I have been fascinated with carving animals since my teens and as an adult have developed a passion for Australian fauna and the fragile environment of our old continent.  I deliberately choose to carve objects that are beautiful and that give pleasure to the viewer and in doing so I hope, in a subtle and gentle way, to raise awareness of the importance of caring for our natural heritage so that the many animals that are under threat might not only survive but thrive.  I especially like carving frogs, lizards and reptiles which are often elusive, giving people the chance to see and appreciate them by examining them in sculptural form.
