My name is Stephanie Ryan,

I started woodworking about 17 years ago. 

I started with the usual wooden box, then a little furniture. 

all working towards making a rocking horse. I had coveted my friends rocking horse as a child, and I decided to make one as an heirloom for my daughter.

I enjoyed the carving aspect so much that I decided carving was my thing! 

I have had some very good mentors, Beach Paine, Don Powell , Binh Pho to name a few. each has been such an inspiration, and I thank them for their help.

I love carving animals, mostly Australian. and I love doing insects, like butterflies and Dragonflies, beetles and bug inlays.
